Google Drive is down. Go tell your boss you can't get anything else done today, so you might as well take off early.
Or, you can be a sucker like me and sit (increasingly less) patiently as Drive continues "trying to connect" as it's done for the last hour-plus.
I first noticed an issue around 11:40am PT as I worked on a Google Drive Doc. The connection cut out, it tried "Reconnecting" for a little bit, and now it's in a constant swirl of connecting attempts.
It wasn't just me: Users on Twitter noted the outage, and a check of Google's Apps Status Dashboard reveals Classroom, Drive, Docs, Sheets and Slides have orange half-circles under today's date. A full orange circle indicates service disruption, so a half circle can't be a good sign.
We'll keep you updated on when service is restored. If you're still at work, that is.
